My favorite Charlotte Link's books.

Hi,
in today's post I'm going to write some words down about the books I have totally fallen in love with...;)
Have you ever heard about Charlotte Link? I guess that some of you haven't so I decided to get you interested in her amazing books. She writes sensational books and thrillers, something I like reading the most ;))
Here's the list of books I have read:

  1. Charlotte Link- "Fox Valley" - Sunny day in August, the marriage of Matthew and Vanessa, who is surviving the crisis, decide to go on a ride, but both of them couldn't expected that Vanessa will never come back...She is a victim of kidnapping but the whole kidnapping turns out to be at least strange. Nobody requests ransom or calls Mtthew to inform him about anything..The police is looking for her endlessly but the whole investigation doesn't disclose anything..Vanessa's trace has missed. The whole story keeps the reader in suspense and you feel yourself very interested in what happens next..

     2.  Charlotte Link - " The Admirer"
In the woods, near a small village in the area around Augsburg the mutilated body of a young woman has been found.
Police and relatives of the murdered are facing a real mystery , because the woman disappeared without trace a few years ago. Only a phone from her holiday's friend provides the first clues to the investigation ...
At the same time in Frankfurt another story is going. Leona,
satisfied with her life woman is the editor of the publishing house..Her happiness ends when her hausband
abandoned her for another woman
It's a real blow to a woman who had just witnessed the suicide....

                                                           3) Charlotte Link - "Shadow play"

David Bellino, unscrupulous rich man receives anonymous death threats.
Fears and nightmares waking dream have been persecuted him for years.
Mysterious messages become a pretext for confrontation with the past. David invites for a dinner four of his former friends. Their paths diverged in tragic circumstances.
Amazingly, all take the invitation.
Guests want to reveal what haunted them for years and inform David how he hurt them.
Will during the supper time David expose someone who wants his death?

These are only three books of her big collection of criminal stories. I hope that, I encouraged you although for some, to familiarize yourself with her writing style.
Best regards!

Swimming, one of my hobbies!

Hi,
I wish to share with you my experiences and feelings associated with this beautiful sport.
I love swimming! I have swum regularly for about five years and each time I came to the swimming pool I feel very happy and satisfied.
For me swimming is a part of everyday's life. I can't imagine even one week without doing it. Maybe it's a kind of addiction..;)

Why swimming? I think I don't have to write the advantages of swimming because there are lots of them.. to remind you, swimming:
  • improves our condition;
  • is the perfect way to keep our body slim
  • helps in better breathing ( you know what I mean :D )
  • is the best way to get back into shape and fitness after an accident

These are only a few advantages of swimming ;)
To be honest at the swimming pool I feel totally relaxed and pleased..
After whole day or even week of doing hard skills all I dream about is to jump into the water and forget about everything just for a moment..
What's funny, I love the smell of chlorine too.:)) Maybe it's weird but it reminds me where I am. :)

I'm not a professional swimmer, I swim for myself in my free time. ;)
I think it's quite important to do some sports when we find some time. Our bodies need it!
At the begining it's often hard to find doing some sport necessary and we convince ourself not to do it.But remember, don't give up!
You won't regret it ;))

Isn't it beautiful ? :D
I think I'm going to swim today ;))

See you in next post!

The 5th Wave

Hi ,
I would like you to get interested in the film I have recently seen.
The 5th Wave, directed by J Blakeson is is "an effectively decent post-apocalyptic, young-adult, world-in-the-balance survival thriller" (the review from variety.com)
The fact is that I was very intrigued by the story of the film.
I'm keen on watching action films and thrillers so keeping track of the story was a great pleasure.
The film is based on the novel by Rick Yancey.

Now let's read a small summary.
'The 5th Way' tells the story of a young girl, Cassie Sullivan (Chloe Grace Moretz) living in Ohio who was typical teenager: she joined the parties, fell in love with one of her school's hunks, Ben Parish (Nick Robinson) and did the things all girls in her age do.
But the fairytale has ended.
The arrival of a massive alien ship just above their street changes everything.
Cassie and her family have to move out and fight for their survival.
We can observe how the young and carefree girl changes herself into responsible and courageous for her and her little brother, Sam (Zackary Arthur) one.
Cassie after a painful loss of her loved ones promises herself to avenge their deaths.
She meets Evan Walker, semi-human, semi-alien who rescues her and helps her to look for her brother.
All the people who survived have to fight with the aliens to regain the Earth. It may sound piteously ridiculous but trust me, this movie is totally worth watching!

The film's plot keeps you in suspense from beginning to the end.

I hope you will find the film absolutely delightful as I do. ;)

Best regards,
J.O

Beautiful French language!

This subject will probably interest some of you due to the faculty I and my classmates study :)

How many of you feel
satisfied during learning this language?
I do! I love French , it's phonetics, grammar, vocabulary and even different accents..
I have my future plans associated with this language.

I try not to break down when I do not pass the subjec's exam..that sometimes happens to all of us, so don't worry;) Everything I learn I do it for myself..:)

I have known the beauty of the French language at my high school, but unfortunately I had such a bad luck and I was taught by someone who had little patience and few ideas to make lessons more interesting..
Additionally other classmates didn't interest  in the subject as I did.. In case of this I had few opportunities to learn more. But I didn't give up and decided to continue my French's adventure at the University;)

For me learning foreign languages has a future..
Nowadays to get a well-paid job people should speak well at least two different languages..
That's what convinced me to study French too;)
I would like  to finish my studies with good results and become a French teacher at school.:)

Thanks for reading,
J.O ;)

Terrifying moment for all high school's graduates - MATURA EXAMS!

Hello to all of you,
in today's short post I would like to reflect a little on an important subject which is Matura Exam. As all of you know or can imagine May has come and  this massacre has returned...
Each year thousands of high school's students sit the exams and they probably live under stress for several weeks...
It sounds really awful but for sure lots of us  have it behind!
For me matura exams were very stressful because I wanted to write them the best I could. I have to say that during these several days I was eating and sleeping very little.. was it good for me? For sure it wasn't, but that weird feeling was stronger than normal thinking..
In addition to basic exams I also had three ones at the advanced level ( English, Geography and Polish) I needed great results from these exams so I learnt a lot and prepared well.

After several weeks I received the results and fortunately I passed all the exams :) I was totally happy, I think anyone who knows that feeling will agree with me.

What about your exams? Were they difficult? How did you feel? Was that whole time stressful to you? I'm looking forward to your answers ! :)

I would like to wish all this year's secondary school's graduates the best results and a positive attitude! The most important thing is to believe in yourself , then everything will be possible!:)
GOOD LUCK!

Adorable Montenegro..

Hello,
in today's post I would like to share further  successive memories with you, this time from a beautiful Balkan country, Montenegro.

This amazing place is situated in the south of the Adriatic. Montenegro is even called the pearl of the Mediterranean.

We booked a hotel in Tivat, one of the lovliest villages in this country. We had only two days to visit the most interesting places there and relax a little..;) It was very hard to make it happen but we tried to do and visit as much as we can.
In my opinion the entire Montenegro is totally beautiful. As you can see in the picture abow, cottages in towns have interesting architectural style. They have nice red roofs and the whole view is very intriguing.
The only thing that disappointed me were uninteresting beaches. I mean, that there was no sand. However, there was a gray gravel and concrete... As you can imagine it wasn't very comfortable for us to relax on such a beach..

I love to explore new places and enjoy the beautiful views and for my happiness there were a lot of such places:) I try to use literally every minute of staying there.

A photo of the one of the tourist beaches with view of the surrounding countryside. What's interesting in Montenegro you have both: the mountains around the sea..

It was full of interesting species of flowers and plants, very colorful and differentthan in our climate zone, have a look at some photos:

\
The water in the sea was very clear, warm and pleasant..Just look at that transparent surface of the water...and it's not a merit of photoshop :P

View of the Sveti Stefan's island

Adorable Petrovac, another town in Montenegro.

At the end of the tour we visited the richest town in Montenegro, called Budva.

There were a lot of restaurants which served very expensive food, souvenirs were also more expensive than in the other towns.. Our guide told us that Budva is very often visited by famous people and celebrities. We came there quite late in the evening and we found out that there were a huge parties almost everywhere. Lots of the young people were having fun and it was a lot of noise..

To sum up I would like to say that Montenegro is totally amazing country but not many people know about its beauty. There are lots of interesting places you should spend time in:)

ITALIAN CANNELLONI.

Hi,
today I would like to share with you some culinary experiments which I made three days ago. It's a very delicious and quite simply dish that you can do when you fancy a tasty Italian dinner. :)

It's called Cannelloni. Doesn't it look delicious?

Now in a few simple steps I will describe to you the recipe for this feast for the palate. :)

THE  INGREDIENTS:

- minced meat
- 1 onion
- clove of garlic
- some mushrooms
- 1 red or yellow pepper
- one can of tomatoes
- one tomato puree
- one pack of ready tube pasta ( it's now avalible for example in Biedronka) :)
- bechamel sauce
- a piece of cheese ( I chose the Mozarella one)
- seasoning to taste (salt, pepper, herbs de Provence, basil, a little cayenne pepper, thym

 WAY OF PREPARING :

First of all slice the onion, mushrooms and peppers;
At the same time, heat an oil in a frying pan;
Into hot oil throw in sequence: onion, after a few minutes mushrooms and then pepper.
After about seven-ten minutes throw minced meat and fry everything until the meat won't be fried;
Then throw a crushed garlic and stir everything
Then you must add chopped canned tomatoes and pour tomato puree.
All mix thoroughly and after a few minutes you should season the whole dish as you like.

After finishing the stuffing you can make a bechamel sauce ( it's  surely more delicious than the ready one which is bought in a shop.:) )
To know how to make a bechamel sauce click into this link: http://ugotuj.to/ugotuj/158791667/sos+beszamelowy/p/
Then you have to fill pasta tubes with the meat stuffing and place filled tubes in the casserole .
Pour the bechamel sauce at the Cannelloni and sprinkle the dish with grated cheese.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and insert the dish for 30 minutes.
Here are the photos of my cooking :

After a half an hour I took out the dish from the oven and the Cannelloni looked like this:

Bon Appetit!
Well, my Cannelloni didn't look as perfect as the one from the first photo , but it was absolutely delicious!
I love cooking and each time I do something new I feel very proud of myself:)
Thank you for reading!

Another dose of wonderful memories: Timișoara and Belgrade.

The last time I described to you amazing Budapest. Today I would like to continue my report from this interesting tour.
I relize that for some of you, the Balkans do not seem to be the ideal place to spend the holiday, but trust me, these magical places are absolutely worth seeing!

  • Timișoara
It's a city in western Romania. It was another point of our tour and I have to say I was neither
surprised nor disappointed...
There is a beautiful Orthodox cathedral, as it is well known, Orthodox churches differ from Roman Catholic ones.  Here you can watch two photos, exterior and interior of Orthodox church:

The day of arrival there was a big annual event in the city but I don't really remember the name or something that I could describe you more. Lots of the people were watching and having a great time at the Old Market Square. There were demonstrations of acrobatic dance and concerts of local music.

After visiting such a lovely city center all tour participants' went to see and eat typical Romanian food:
  • Ciorbă de burtă ( it is a traditional Romanian soup with the addition of tripe, whitened cream)

Ciorbă de burtă - zupa z flakami - co zjeść w Rumunii

  • Mici ( This mixed minced meat, properly seasoned, formed into small rolls and baked on the grill)

Zdjęcia: Maramuresz, Mici - rumuńska kuchnia, RUMUNIA

It was served with roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables

Romanian cuisine is somewhat similar to Polish, but as each has its own specialties, which are worth tasting.;)

    • Belgrade

This is the  capital of Serbia. The city lies in the north of Serbia, at the confluence of the Sava and Danube.

In my opinion the city is very interesting because of its history but the authorities have very little to invest in the renovation of buildings. I'm even willing to say that Belgrade at first glance reminds Polish towns 30 years ago.
I have not lived in these times but I've heard a lot.

Look at themselves:

There were also many beautiful monumental buildings, which were breathtaking, like for example:
  •  Orthodox church of St. Sava

  • The ruins of the bombed Ministry of Defense of Serbia

I really enjoyed visiting both towns and I think the fact that they look different from the beautiful European capitals works even in their favor. It's good to visit and watch something less popular
but equally intriguing.
In my opinion, the Balkans are an example of such a place. :)

Greetings,
J.O

Beautiful Balkans... part 1- Budapest

Hi,
I would like to share with you some wonderful memories from my holiday in the Balkans where I was two years ago. Travelling is one of my hobbies and I try to visit new places each year.
I spent really great time in the Balkans even though the whole trip was quite tiring.
We ( my mother and aunt were travelling with me :) ) visited six countries in twelve days and every place was totally different and incredibly beautiful.
We started our trip in Cracow and after some hours of waiting for the bus we went on tour to Budapest. I felt in love with that city, the capital of Hungary. :)
If you didn't visit Budapest you would try to make it happen very quickly! You will surely be delighted.
I was watching beautiful historical buildings and taking lots of the phtos.
There are many fascinating places in Budapest and I would like to share some photos of them I took there:

 Great market hall in Budapest

The Hungarian Parliament, completed in 1904.

View of the beautiful Budapest and the wide Danube

In the foreground: Heroes Square and Museum of Fine Arts in the distance.

The Gellért Hill

To end today's post let's read some Hungarian words:

Good morning-jó reggelt [jou reggelt]
Goodbye-viszontlátásra [wisontlataszro]
How much does it cost?-ez mennyibe kerül ? [ez mennibe keryul?]
Cheers!-egészségére [egesszegedre]
Poland-Lengyelország [leńdzielorsag]

Hungary-Magyarország [madziarorsag]

Thursday-csütörtök [czuytyrtyk]

In my opinion Hungarian is one of the most difficult languages!
What do you think?
Best regards,
J.O :))

I can feel spring in the air!

Hi everyone,
as all of you can see spring has come and the weather is totally perfect!
I love this season. Days get longer and sunnier, flowers bloom, birds chirp and people smile all the time.
I think that after long months of cold and depressing weather people feel much happier and all what they need is just to walk around the park in thin clothes . :)
The temperate weather zone which we have here in Poland is very fascinating and every season is totally different but to be honest spring and summer are the best!
I feel very happy because of wearing my spring colorful clothes and sunglasses which are perfect for now, while the sun is shining.
To sum up let's watch some optimising photos I found in the Internet and think positevely like I do.:)

 Happy April Fool's Day! :))

I finally passed my driving license! :)

Hi everyone,
today I'm going to write about my last stressful experience which was the Driving License's exam. I had my exam last friday, March 18th 2016 at 7 a.m ! I was very stressed and annoyed by the last few days before that big event.. People who had to take that exam know what I mean.. After long months of preparation at my driving school I had to show my knowledge, skills and above all my self-control and focusing to the examiner , who totally frightened me. I was very self-confident and sure of my skills but during passing such exams people behave differently. Although, I had to wait for my turn over an hour I tried not to think in a negative way. Finally I was called by the examiner and we both started the exam.
At the beginning I had to get ready to drive a car: I had to fasten my seat belts, adjust the mirrors and the driver's seat, press the cluth, start the engine and switch on the ignition and the lights, put the car in gear and take the handbrake off. When I was ready the examiner wanted me to move on and cross a piece of square in the front and back. I did it without any trouble and then came the next assignment, sliding up on the hill with using the handbrake. That also wasn't a problem for me. After doing well these two tasks, I drove to the city. I'm not going to explain to all of you where and how I was driving during the exam, but I did everythnig correctly. I often had to brake, watch the signs and the colour of the lights on the roads. I also used the right and left indicator and I watched what was happening on the road by the side-view mirrors. I was driving on the junction and made a U-turn.
The whole exam lasted about an hour, another hour.. I think it lasted quite long, but there were many traffic jams. The time was passing and I didn't even notice when it passed.
At the end of the exam the examiner wanted me to stop the car and park on the square. At first I didn't know what to expect but the man told me quickly that I passed the exam and congratulated me. I was very shocked but unimaginably happy. This is a kind of feeling that people who haven't had such an exam don't understand and imagine. :)
Now I have to wait about two or three weeks and I'm going to get the document. After that I will finally buy and drive my own car !

I feel so happy and for surely, passing such an difficult and stressful exam gave me the power and big self-confidence. To be honest, I believe that nowadays having the driving license is very useful and important. You can move everywhere you want very quickly and without wainting long minutes or even hours at the bus stops. There are of course traffic jams and air pollution, but the advantages of driving a car are very compelling.
I relize that the whole post is full of difficult automobile words, but this may encourage you to assimilate these interesting phrases and words. :)

At the end of the post let's watch such an absurd video, that will problably make you feel  funny and relaxed.:)

Thank you for reading!
Best regards,
J.O :)
